I have been focusing on cultivating my creative genius lately through my latest passion – calligraphy. I received an amazing set for Christmas and I am loving getting to learn to use these new tools and express myself in this new way.
I used to believe that creativity wasn’t that important. I thought, “whatever a ‘creative genius’ is, I certainly don’t have one”. I thought this because I thought the only form of creativity was drawing, which I’m not very good at. I came to realize that I just hadn’t found my passion yet.
Since discovering this part of myself, I feel different. It helps me to relieve stress, calm my mind, and feel productive in a different, more rejuvenating way than checking things off a list.
Writing and calligraphy are the two things I use to cultivate my creativity. What outlets do you use?
